All nominations are submitted through our Awards Nomination Portal. The minute you click submit, your Nominee is notified instantly that they’ve been nominated for an AA Award and by whom. This is a powerful moment for your Admin.
- Step Three: Join us at the AA Awards Gala Dinner, a Celebration of Administrative Excellence
This five-star celebration honors all program Nominees and reveals the Finalists and AA Award Winners in each award category. An independent board of judges works alongside AA Academy to determine the Finalists and Winners in each of the 13 (thirteen) Award Categories. While the AA Awards is a competition, at its heart it is a celebration of every Administrative Professional that walks through our doors. Commemorative gifts for each attending Admin, 14+ prize drawings valued at over $500 and other surprises are why hundreds of Admins are treated by their organizations each year to the AA Awards, regardless of their status in the competition.

How the AA Awards Works
The AA Awards is the country’s first and only awards program dedicated to providing executives and coworkers with a powerful platform for recognizing the backbones of their organizations, Administrative Professionals, in 13 (thirteen) award categories. Winning an AA Award is considered the Administrative Profession’s highest honor.
The AA Awards is the brain child of the Administrative Assistants Academy.
How are Nominations Submitted?
Nominations are submitted through our website. Nominations can be submitted in one or more of the 13 (thirteen) award categories before the deadlines. There is no cost to nominate thanks to our Program Sponsors.

Once a nomination is submitted, Nominees are notified instantly through our awards portal that they’ve been nominated for an AA Award, and by whom. Anonymous nominations are not accepted. When a Nominee receives notification, they must accept their nomination and verify their information in order to stay in the competition. You also must be present at the AA Awards Gala Dinner to win an AA Award.
Who Participates in the AA Awards? A Snapshot of Some of Our High Profile Executives
Companies of every size, industry, and stature participate in the AA Awards, including mid-market, small businesses, start-ups, nonprofits, and government institutions – any organization that relies on the administrative function is invited to participate and share in the belief that public recognition of Administrative Professionals is long-overdue. The competition produces Finalists and Winners from every company size and industry sector.
The 13 (thirteen) AA Award Categories & the Program’s Most Prestigious Award
There are 12 (twelve) Individuals Award categories which vary by criteria including the program’s most prestigious award, the AA Award for Excellence.
There is also 1 (one) company award category, The Corporate Commitment to Admins Professional Development Award, which celebrates progressive companies that create an exceptional work environment for Administrative Professionals and meet specific criteria.
Determination of Finalists and Winners
An independent Board of Judges evaluates and scores each of the candidates, determining the Finalists and Winners in each Award Category. These decisions are based solely on the written nominations. Neither the AA Academy staff nor program Sponsors have any role in the judging process. Finalists are announced at the AA Awards Gala Dinner, which is also where the 13 (thirteen) AA Award Winners are revealed.
The AA Awards Dinner Gala & Celebration
All program Nominees are honored at the AA Awards Dinner Gala which is a five-star experience held annually. Companies attend to cheer on their Nominees as the Finalists and Winners are revealed and display a tremendous sense of pride! While the AA Awards is a competition, at its heart it’s a celebration of every Administrative Professional that attends the gala who receives an awesome commemorative gift valued at over $50, and is registered to win over 13 (thirteen) amazing prizes valued at over $500 and as much as $2,000 in some categories!
